Uganda Premier League giants Vipers SC have strengthened their technical bench with the appointment of John Luyinda as an assistant coach.
The experienced tactician joins the Venoms after a brief stint as the head coach of Wakiso Giants.
“We are thrilled to welcome John Luyinda back to the Vipers family,” said Vipers Sports Club, in a statement released by the club.
“His wealth of experience and knowledge of the local football scene will be invaluable to our team.”
Luyinda brings a proven track record to the Venoms, having previously worked with several top clubs in Uganda, including KCCA FC, Police FC, and Wakiso Giants.
His previous stint with Vipers under Abdallah Mubiru in 2016 saw him contribute significantly to the team’s success.
The Venoms are currently looking to bounce back from a mixed start to the season, having won one, drawn one, and lost one of their opening three matches.
Luyinda’s addition is expected to provide a boost to the team’s coaching staff and help them achieve their goals for the campaign.
