The long wait is finally over! The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially confirmed the venues and dates for the Uganda Cranes’ group stage matches at the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
The tournament, set to run from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026, promises to light up North Africa with electrifying football as 24 nations battle for continental supremacy.
For Uganda, this edition marks a return to Africa’s biggest football stage after missing out on the previous two tournaments in 2021 and 2023.
The Cranes will be making their eighth AFCON appearance, with their last outing coming in 2019 in Egypt.
Placed in Group C, Uganda faces a challenging campaign against 2004 champions Tunisia, neighbors Tanzania, and three-time winners Nigeria.
Head coach Paul Put’s men will be based in Rabat and Fez, two cities steeped in culture and football heritage, as they look to make their mark in Morocco.
