Uganda Premier League outfit URA FC has secured the future of talented right-back Justin Opiro by extending his contract for three years. The deal will keep Opiro at the club until 2027.
The announcement was made on URA’s official website during the ongoing transfer window.
“We are delighted to confirm that Justin Opiro has signed a new three-year contract with the club,” the statement read.
“His commitment and potential are invaluable to our team.”
Opiro’s football journey began at Good Soccer Academy in Northern Uganda before moving to Bright Valley Primary School and Kibuli Secondary School.
He later captained the KCCA Junior Team and completed his advanced level at St Mary’s Kitende SS.
During his time at Kitende, Opiro led his team to the USSSA National title and the East Africa Football Championship.
He has also represented Uganda at the youth level, playing for the Uganda Cubs (U-17) and Uganda Hippos (U-20).
With this long-term contract, URA has solidified their right-back position and ensured that Opiro remains a key part of their plans for the upcoming seasons.
