    • Mbale Heroes 1-0 SC Villa

Mbale Heroes secured a 1-0 victory against SC Villa in the Uganda Premier League at Mbale Municipal Stadium on Sunday evening.

Cosia Waiswa’s goal was enough to register maximum points for the hosts who were having a league encounter in Mbale for the first time in 18 years.

With five minutes left on the clock, Waiswa curled home a perfect freekick past goalkeeper Jeans Braddy Wokorach before the stadium erupted in joy.

It was a perfect reception for the league action in Mbale as numbers turned up to witness the sweet and historic occasion.

The sweet victory came on day two after they (Mbale Heroes) fell 1-2 against Express at Hamz Stadium in Kampala.

SC Villa returns to action on Thursday, September 26, against BUL, while Mbale Heroes are set to visit Wakiso Giants a day after.
