    Today’s UPL Fixture

    UPDF v POLICE

    WAKISO GIANTS VS URA

Police FC face off against UPDF FC at the Bombo Military Grounds today at 4pm in what promises to be a thrilling encounter on Match Day 10 of the Uganda Premier League. Both teams, tied on 12 points from eight games, are eager to bounce back and climb the table. A victory could see either side temporarily rise to 4th place, adding urgency to this battle.

UPDF come into the game hoping to recover from a heavy 4-0 defeat to Kitara. Coach Paul Kiwanuka remains upbeat, stressing that his players are ready to make amends and secure maximum points. Despite recent struggles, the home side will be looking to tighten their defense and make use of their home advantage.

Police FC, on the other hand, were held to a goalless draw by Lugazi in their last match. Coach Simon Peter Mugerwa is focused on improving the team’s attack and converting chances. He believes a win in this fixture could provide the boost they need to move up the table and maintain momentum.

Both teams will welcome back key players. Police regain Ivan Eyam, Brain James Obedi, and Daniel Otto, while UPDF are boosted by the return of Aggrey Kiirya from suspension. However, the hosts will still be without Andrew Kigozi, Hussein Zzinda, and Emmanuel Ocen, who remain sidelined with injuries.

In their previous six meetings, Police have had the edge, winning three times compared to UPDF’s two victories, with one match ending in a draw. Their last encounter, during the 2021/22 season, ended in a 2-2 draw. With both sides eager to return to winning ways, this clash is set to be a closely fought battle of forces.
