    • Lugazi 0-0 SC Villa

Lugazi have held Vipers in a 0-0 draw in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Lugazi Stadium, Najjembe, on Thursday.

It was a disappointing show from Vipers as they failed to find the back of the net against the newly promoted side.

Sharif Saaka and Sam Semugugu got cut clear chances to give the home side the lead but failed to convert inside the area.

With five minutes to end the first stanza, Allan Okello’s low drive went inches wide of the frame after Lugazi lost possession in front of the 16-yard mark.

Coming into the second stanza, Vipers made several changes but still was far from impressing, just like it was in the first half.

Despite efforts from either side to break the deadlock, none found the breakthrough, thus sharing spoils on the day.

The point leaves Vipers in the fourth position while Lugazi remains at the bottom of the log with one point in three games.

Up next, Vipers will host SC Villa on Saturday, October 6, while Lugazi will visit Maroons the following day.
