    Uganda Premier League | Result

    • Bright Stars 0-1 URA
    • Maroons 2-3 Wakiso Giants
    • BUL 1-1 KCCA
    • Mbarara City 0-0 Police

URA secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Bright Stars in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Kavumba Recreation Ground on Friday.

Ivan Ahimbisibwe scored the lonely goal as the Tax Collectors registered maximum points on the day.

Norman Namanya thought he had given the visitors the lead, but his exciting effort was flagged offside in the 17th minute.

Three minutes later, Emmanuel Oketch’s overhead kick sailed inches above the frame after connecting well with Moses Aliro’s corner kick.

At the death of the first stanza, Ahimbisibwe guided the ball into the back of the net to place URA in the driving seat.

Ten minutes into the second stanza, goalkeeper Derrick Ochan made a big save to deny the hosts from close range.

Hudu Mulikyi was stretchered off the field of play with ten minutes to the final whistle after a nasty collision. He was later replaced by George Masembe.

The victory means that URA has three points in two games following a 1-0 loss to KCCA on matchday one.

    How they lined up
