Express Football Club has officially parted ways with head coach Baker Mbowa after a short tenure with the club.
The decision was reached mutually, and the club confirmed his departure through a statement posted on its social media platforms earlier today.
Mbowa, who took over the reins at the Mukwano gwa Bangi in March this year, replaced Alex Isabirye with hopes of turning around the club’s fortunes.
However, his dismissal follows a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Lugazi FC, which has left the club struggling for consistency.
In the six games this season under Mbowa’s leadership, Express FC managed two wins, two draws, and two losses, a performance that ultimately led to the decision to make a change in management.
During this transition period, assistant coach Badru Kaddu will take charge of the team on an interim basis while the club begins its search for a new head coach.
Fans will be eagerly waiting to see how the team responds under Kaddu’s leadership in the coming games as Express FC aims to improve its standing in the league.
