This Friday, October 25, the Uganda Premier League heads to Hoima as Kitara FC takes on Bul FC at the Butema Royal Park in a highly anticipated 4 pm matchup.
Both teams are aiming for a fresh start to turn around their season, with Kitara FC, the “Royals,” still searching for stability after a rocky start.
Kitara FC’s season began with high hopes following an impressive debut last season, but so far, they find themselves in 14th place.
Their only victory this season came in the opening match, where they convincingly defeated Lugazi FC 3-0. Since then, Kitara has been unable to secure another win, drawing once and losing three times.
Despite the move to their main stadium, the club is yet to notch a win at home, putting added pressure on Coach Brian Ssenyondo to deliver a strong performance in front of the Hoima crowd.
Bul FC’s story has also been one of unfulfilled expectations. Currently sitting in 12th place with five points, Bul finally broke their own winless streak last weekend with a 1-0 victory over Express FC.
Coach Abbey Kikomeko will be eager to capitalize on this newfound momentum and move further up the standings with another victory.
Historically, Bul FC has had the upper hand in this fixture, winning three times and drawing twice in their five previous encounters with Kitara FC.
The Royals are yet to win against Bul, and with both sides hungry for points, this could be Kitara’s chance to rewrite that record in front of their home supporters.
This matchup offers high stakes for both clubs as they seek to climb out of the league’s lower ranks and establish themselves this season.
