The FUFA Big League returns this Sunday, November 24th, with an exciting lineup of fixtures for Matchday 8.
At Kakindu Stadium in Jinja, Busoga United hosts newly promoted Buhimba United Saints FC in what promises to be a compelling encounter.
Busoga United, currently enduring a challenging season, is desperate for a turnaround. The Jinja-based side has failed to register a single win in their seven games, managing only four draws and three losses.
This dismal form leaves them in 13th place on the 16-team league table with a mere 4 points. A home victory on Sunday would provide a much-needed boost to their campaign and bring relief to their loyal fans.
On the other hand, Buhimba United Saints have had a relatively decent debut season. With two wins, two draws, and two losses from their six games, they sit in 9th place on the log with 8 points.
The Saints are determined to improve their standings, and head coach Paul Nkata expressed confidence ahead of the match.
“We have a game on Sunday against a team that is not well off, though we are also not well enough. But we are sure this time round we are coming back with victory because we have prepared very well,” said Nkata during a pre-match interview.
“We are playing a team that is at home, but we have to make sure we win this because our players are in good shape and everything is in place.”
The Saints’ strong preparation and optimism pose a significant challenge for Busoga United, whose fans will be hoping their team can rise above their struggles to deliver a spirited performance at Kakindu.
