SC Villa Eye Back-to-Back Wins as Buhimba Aim to Reclaim Top Spot

Record Uganda Premier League champions SC Villa will be on a mission to build momentum when they storm the Royals Park in Butema for a titanic clash with Buhimba United Saints on Friday evening.

The Jogoos finally broke their winless spell last week, edging Police FC 2-1 in dramatic fashion at the FUFA Kadiba Stadium, courtesy of a late strike that reignited belief in the camp.

Now, all eyes turn to Butema, where a rejuvenated Villa side will test their mettle against one of the early pace-setters of the 2025/26 campaign.

For Buhimba United Saints, the fixture presents a golden chance to bounce back after their 3-0 humbling at the hands of table leaders BUL FC.

Despite that setback, the Saints have dazzled in their debut top-flight season, collecting nine points from four matches, a run that currently places them second on the log. Victory on Friday would see them leapfrog BUL and reclaim their seat at the summit.

Villa, sitting on four points from three outings, will be banking on the attacking flair of Charles Lwanga, the industrious Geoffrey Gagganga, and the ever-lively Ibrahim Kasinde to deliver the spark in front of goal.

Head coach Dusan Stojanovic will also be eager to see his charges maintain the hunger and defensive grit that defined last week’s performance.

In another Friday showdown, KCCA FC will be under the floodlights at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, welcoming league newcomers Calvary FC, who are still chasing their maiden win in Uganda’s top division.

The fixture promises a feast of football flair as the Kasasiro Boys seek to delight their home fans and pile more misery on the debutants.

With both encounters promising fire, flair, and fierce determination, Friday’s Uganda Premier League action could prove pivotal in shaping the early-season narrative.

    Fixtures – Friday, October 31, 2025:

    • Buhimba United Saints vs SC Villa – Royals Park, Butema
    • KCCA FC vs Calvary FC – MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo
