The National Rugby 7s series will come to an end in the highly anticipated Rujumba 7s that are set to be played at King’s Park Arena.
With the Blacks Pirates hosting the series, action is scheduled for Saturday, October 5 to Sunday, October 6.
The eighth edition of the tournament will be played in memory of rugby legend Henry Rujumba, who passed in 2015.
After playing six circuits, the reigning champions Heathens (for Rujumba 7s) come into this kiln sitting on top of the log with 108 points, five above Pirates.
The two sides will be out to fight for bragging rights because Heathens aim to end the National title drought while Pirates would wish to lift it in front of its home crowd.
Heathens aim to win their first National 7s title since 2013, that and more created a thrilling circuit as many ruby faithful are expected to flock King’s Park Arena.
On the women’s side, the Avengers are in the commanding seat since they can still clinch the National 7s title even with a third-place finish.
