Former Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Juuko has completed a move to Kitara FC, signing a two-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2027.
Juuko, who last featured for Vipers SC in the 2023/24 season, had been without a club and away from the spotlight due to personal reasons. His return is seen as a major boost for Kitara, who continue to strengthen their squad with experienced players.
The defender is fondly remembered for his commanding performances at Express FC under coach Wasswa Bbosa, where he played a key role in guiding the Red Eagles to the Uganda Premier League title. He also made his mark with the Uganda Cranes during the reign of French tactician Sebastian Desabre, establishing himself as one of the most solid centre-backs of his generation.
Kitara fans will be eager to see if Juuko can replicate his past form and provide the defensive stability needed as the Hoima-based side pushes for greater success in the league.
