Lugazi FC has announced that they have mutually agreed to part ways with head coach Sadick Ssempigi, following a series of disappointing results.
The decision to terminate the contract was confirmed via the club’s official website, marking the end of Ssempigi’s brief tenure with the team.
Ssempigi, who was appointed as head coach at the beginning of the season, took charge of five games.
Despite efforts to turn things around, his tenure saw just two draws a 0-0 result against title contenders Vipers SC and a 1-1 tie with Mbale Heroes in the team’s most recent fixture.
The decision to part ways comes as Lugazi FC seeks a fresh approach to turn their season around and improve their standings.
Stepping in to manage the team on an interim basis is Oliver Mbekeka, an experienced figure within the club, who will take over while the search for a new permanent head coach begins.
Mbekeka’s immediate task will be to stabilize the team and reinvigorate their campaign as the club aims to compete at a higher level this season.
This development underscores Lugazi FC’s commitment to improving results as the team aims for a stronger campaign in the league.
