From the FUFA Big League side, Kiyinda Boys FC have parted ways with head coach James Cemari following a disappointing start to the new season.
Cemari, who was appointed earlier this month with Faridah Bulega as his assistant, departs the club after only four weeks in charge. His dismissal comes in the wake of a 1–0 defeat to Soltilo Bright Stars at the Betharm City Ground in Kiwenda, a result that left the club’s hierarchy dissatisfied with the team’s direction.
Cemari had been brought in to replace Michael ‘Skills’ Lukyamuzi, who left Kiyinda Boys during pre-season to join Blacks Power FC. However, the team’s early struggles under his leadership prompted a swift managerial change.
In the meantime, Ayub Kizza has been named interim head coach, taking charge with immediate effect. The former KCCA FC, Express FC, and Victors FC defender had been serving as the club’s fitness coach prior to his appointment.
Kizza’s first test will be a tricky away fixture against Kigezi Homeboyz on Sunday, November 2, as he looks to stabilize the squad and revive Kiyinda Boys’ campaign
