Uganda Premier League has bolstered its squad with an exciting duo of Umar Lutalo and Rogers Mugisha.
The development was confirmed via the club’s official website today, Sunday, September 22, 2024.
“Umar Lutalo and Rogers Mugisha will start a new chapter in their football careers with Kitara,” the statement partly reads.
The youthful duo put pen on a one-year employment contract that keeps them at the club until the end of the season.
Lutalo, the attacking midfielder, switches camps after lifting his first league title in the 2023-24 with his former club, SC Villa.
He spent three seasons at SC Villa playing 54 games and scoring 10 goals.
At Kitara, he will compete with Frank ‘Zaga’ Tuwesigye, Titus Ssematimba, and Marvin Nyanzi in the number 10 role.

In the same breath, Kitara has added Mugisha to their teamsheet after ending his stay at Danish first-division side AC Horsens.
In the league, he has previously played for UPDF before joining giants Gor Mahia in Kenya.
In the ongoing season, Kitara has so far played two games, winning 3-0 against Lugazi and falling 1-2 to on-form NEC.
Up next, Kitara will be away from home against KCCA in the league at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Friday.
