As the CHAN tournament unfolds across Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania, Uganda Premier League giants KCCA FC and Vipers SC have resumed training in preparation for the upcoming 2025/26 season.
KCCA FC players and technical staff reported to their home ground in Lugogo on Monday morning, officially kicking off pre-season training. Meanwhile, Vipers SC players began their sessions earlier last week at Kitende, maintaining momentum after a successful previous season.
Training sessions are intensifying for both sides, with Vipers SC gearing up to represent Uganda at the continental level in the CAF Champions League qualifiers, following their triumph in the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League.
KCCA FC, on the other hand, are focusing on rebuilding under their new coaching duo, Jackson Magera and Brian Ssenyondo. The club is aiming to bounce back after missing out on continental football last season—an outcome sealed when they lost 2-0 to Vipers SC in the Uganda Cup final.
