Angolan international Openga Katenga has signed a new two-year deal with KCCA FC, extending his stay at the club until 2027.
The winger’s future had been in doubt after the expiry of his previous contract, with reports suggesting he was set to leave the Kasasiro Boys. However, head coach Jackson Mayanja and assistant Brian Ssenyondo considered his presence too valuable to lose, securing his services for the next two seasons.
Katenga’s renewal comes at a time when speculation continues around the possible departure of Usama Arafat in this transfer window.
He now joins Rogers Mugisha and Alpha Sali, who also signed fresh two-year contracts with the Lugogo-based giants.
