FUFA Women Super League powerhouse Kampala Queens has announced a new leadership trio to spearhead their campaign in the upcoming season.
Shamirah Nalugya, an agile attacking midfielder, has been named the team’s captain, taking over the reins from goalkeeper Daisy Nakaziro.
Nakaziro, who had served as captain in the previous season, has decided not to renew her contract with the club.
Joining Nalugya in the leadership team are defender Jamila Nabulime as assistant captain and Zaina Nandede as second assistant captain.
The Queens of Soccer will kick off their league journey on Friday, September 27, facing Wakiso Giants WFC at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
As they embark on a new chapter with fresh leadership, Kampala Queens will be aiming to build on their previous successes and solidify their position as a dominant force in Ugandan women’s football.
