The JKL Lady Dolphins clinched the fourth National Basketball League title after seeing off record champions UCU Lady Canons.
The Lady Dolphins were crowned champions on the fourth occasion following the previous titles won in 2018, 2019, and 2023.
The Lady Dolphins clinched to the championship after a 68-56 victory against UCU Lady Canons in Game six at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
Lady Dolphins staged a stunning comeback, winning four games in a row after falling twice in the best-of-seven series.
JKL Lady Dolphins opened a 14-point (22-8) lead in the opening stanza of the game.
The UCU Lady Canons improved in the second quarter but went into the long break trailing by 12 points.
Coming from the locker rooms, the Lady Dolphins held on to guard their 11-point (58-47) lead going into the final period of the game.
Despite the Lady Canons’ fight on the night, the Lady Dolphins were the better side, thus defending their crown.
