Veteran coach George ‘Best’ Nsimbe has signed a two-year contract with newly promoted FUFA Big League side Catda FC.
Nsimbe, who enjoyed an illustrious playing career, featured for KCCA FC from 1985 to 1995, winning two league titles (1985 & 1991) and three Uganda Cups (1987, 1990 & 1993).
On the international stage, he represented the Uganda Cranes between 1988 and 1995, lifting the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup three times (1989 & 1990).
As a coach, Nsimbe has enjoyed notable success, guiding KCCA FC to three league titles (2008, 2013 & 2014) and winning the Uganda Cup with Victors FC in 2010.
In recent years, he has been in charge of several clubs, including Lugazi FC, Vipers SC, Azam FC (Tanzania), Tusker FC (Kenya), and Kiyinda Boys FC in the FUFA Big League.
Catda FC will be hoping his wealth of experience both on and off the pitch can steer them to a strong campaign in their debut Big League season.
