With this result, Blacks Power moved to 19 points from nine matches, holding a one-point lead over Calvary, who have played one game more.
At Mbale City Stadium, Kataka continued their impressive home form, defeating Onduparaka 2-1. Ali Ssentamu put Kataka ahead in the 43rd minute, but the visitors equalized through Junior Andama’s penalty just before halftime. However, Usama Khayemba restored Kataka’s lead in the 51st minute to ensure their unbeaten home record this season remained intact. Kataka now sit ninth on the table with 13 points, four points clear of the relegation zone and five points adrift of the promotion places.
Busoga United finally celebrated their first win of the season, edging Ntugasaze 1-0 at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe. In Masindi, Buhimba United Saints secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Booma at Masindi Municipal Stadium, courtesy of Edison Agondeze’s 30th-minute strike set up by Davis Kakaire.
Elsewhere, two matches ended in goalless stalemates. Kaaro Karungi and Calvary failed to break the deadlock in Ntungamo, while Kigezi Homeboyz and Kiyinda Boys shared the spoils in Kabale.
