With the Uganda Premier League on an international break, top-flight clubs are shifting their focus to the Stanbic Uganda Cup, aiming to advance further in the prestigious domestic competition.
The Round of 16 kicks off on Monday, March 17, 2025, as defending champions Kitara FC travel to Entebbe Works Ground to take on FUFA Big League side Gaddafi FC. Meanwhile, Maroons FC will battle fellow Premier League outfit Police FC at Prisons Grounds in Luzira.
On Tuesday, March 18, Lugazi FC hosts nine-time winners SC Villa at Lugazi FC Stadium, while joint record holders KCCA FC will face Rwenzori Lions under the Lugogo Stadium floodlights. Additionally, 2022 winners BUL FC will meet Total FC, who stunned Express FC in the previous round.
The competition continues on Wednesday, March 19, with Kaaro Karungi FC taking on UPDF FC at Kyamate Playground, while URA FC clashes with Kataka FC at Nakivubo Stadium for a spot in the quarterfinals. The final fixture of the round will see three-time champions Vipers SC host Blacks Power—who eliminated NEC FC—under the Kitende floodlights.
