BUL FC began the second round of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with a convincing 2-0 win over Express at Nakivubo on Wednesday.
An early own goal by Emmanuel Wasswa in the 13th minute handed BUL the lead before Pascal Ngobi doubled their advantage five minutes before halftime.
The victory—BUL’s fifth in 16 matches—elevates them to sixth place with 23 points, just two behind Express, who remain in third.
In other matches, Juma Kalanzi’s 69th-minute strike secured Lugazi a narrow 1-0 victory over Police, while Soltilo Bright Stars fought back to earn a 1-1 draw away to Maroons.
Felix Okot put Maroons ahead in the 55th minute, but Warren Bbuule equalized for Bright Stars with 11 minutes to play.
Lugazi’s third win of the season lifts them two places above the relegation zone with 17 points, while Police sit just a point ahead.
Maroons remain seventh on 23 points, while Bright Stars stay second from bottom with 11.
