Uganda Premier League side URA has completed the signing of defender Bright Vuni on a two-year employment contract.
The announcement was confirmed via the official club’s website today, Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
“URA FC has bolstered its defence by securing the services of no-nonsense defender Bright Vuni on a two-year contract,” the statement partly reads.
Vuni joins the Tax Collectors switching from UPDF FC, where he played the whole of the previous campaign.
Vuni is well known for his defensive prowess, solidity as well as the ability to contribute goals because of his aerial presence.
The defender comes in as a direct replacement for Najib Fesali, who departed the club to join BUL FC after the expiration of his contract.
He has also previously played for Arua Hill SC, a team that gave him a great platform to play in the top tier.
He becomes URA’s third following Isma Mugulusi and Abraham Tusubira.
The Tax Collectors will kick start the 2024/25 campaign with a visit to MTN Omondi Stadium, where they will face KCCA on Friday, September 13.
