The Munich club is ready to activate the €100 million release clause for the Sporting forward, who is also on Manchester United‘s radar.
Viktor Gyokeres, one of the most sought-after players in this transfer window, has caught the attention of Bayern Munich. According to reports from the English newspaper ‘Daily Star’, the German club has already initiated negotiations with the forward’s representatives from Sporting. Another European giant interested in acquiring the Norwegian is Manchester United.
Despite his positive relationship with Ruben Amorim, the coach who could facilitate his move to United, the 26-year-old Gyokeres is reportedly hesitant due to the challenges faced by the Portuguese manager at the English club. Furthermore, the forward seems to prioritize a team that will compete in the Champions League next season.
The English newspaper also emphasizes that Bayern is willing to pay the Swedish player’s release clause, set at €100 million (approximately R$ 630 million at the current exchange rate).
This season, Gyokeres has scored 30 goals in 28 matches for Sporting, along with six assists.
