Uganda Cranes captain Khalid Aucho has issued a passionate plea to fans to unite behind the national team as they prepare to face South Africa in their opening match of the upcoming AFCON qualifiers.
The highly anticipated clash is set for Friday, September 6, 2024, at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg.
Aucho believes that the unwavering support of Ugandan fans can significantly boost the team’s performance.
“I urge all the fans who can make it to the stadium to come out and rally behind the boys,” Aucho stated.
“Their support will inspire us to give our absolute best on the field.”
The Young Africans midfielder, who missed the previous two Uganda Cranes matches due to injury, is thrilled to be back in the squad and is eager to contribute to the team’s success.
“I’m delighted to return to the team. Everyone in the camp is fit and ready for the challenge ahead,” Aucho said.
“We’re focused on delivering a strong performance and making the Ugandan people proud.”
