Fresh off leading JKL Lady Dolphins to a thrilling championship victory over UCU Lady Canons in the 2024 National Basketball League, Gazelles captain Jane Asinde has revealed her plans for the next chapter in her basketball career.
The talented point guard has announced her intention to make her professional basketball debut in China.
This marks a significant milestone for Asinde, who has previously showcased her skills at the collegiate level with the UTEP Women’s Basketball team in the United States.

“I’m excited to embark on a new adventure and play my first professional basketball for a club in China,” Asinde told CK Sports.
“I can’t share too many details just yet, but I’m looking forward to this opportunity and the challenges it will bring.”
Asinde’s departure will leave a void in the Lady Dolphins’ lineup, but the team can take solace in the continued presence of Abby Priscilla and Mary Amaniyo, who will remain at UTEP.
