Nkumba University secured a 2-0 victory against the University of Jos in the 2024 All Africa University Games on Sunday afternoon.
In the game that was played at the University of Lagos Sports Centre, Marvin Kavuma scored the two goals for Nkumba University to claim maximum points.
The Entebbe-based side returns to action today as they take on the University of Lagos, who are the hosts.
Then, on Tuesday, they will lock horns with the University of Julius Nyerere de Kankan before they conclude the group stage against the University of Development Studies.
This is the 11th edition of the All Africa University Games, and they are being played under the theme ‘Unite, Compete and Excel’.
Nkumba University humbled UCU in the final of the University Football League to secure a spot in this year’s Africa University Games.
